Brokerage Boats of Month J-30 & Beneteau 36.7

June 4th, 2008 by Carter

This month we decided to highlight two different types of boats for our boat of the month. We chose a J-30, which is a less expensive option to get on the water, versus the Beneteau 36.7. Both are great, comfortable, race/cruiser boats that would make any new boat owner happy. See below for the reviews.

j30photobrokerageboatofmonth.jpgWe will start with the J-30 listing, asking price $27,500. There are quite a few of these boats in Casco Bay and not too many years ago, there was a big one design class for the weekend races. The boat sleeps 6, has beautiful teak and holly sole, a drop leaf table for dining, and plenty of storage space for all of your things. The boat has been well maintained by one owner and we think it is a must see. To read further, click here.

beneteauboatofmonth.jpg Here we have another great boat, the Beneteau 36.7, with an asking price of $118,500. This boat has more bells and whistles compared with the J-30, and is much newer, only five years old. The head is complete with a shower and it would be a comfortable boat to cruise with the family. The bottom has been professionally faired so it will be a fast racer in addition to a cruiser. Casco Bay has one of these boats already so why not add to the fleet and create a great one-design class? (there were 50 boats at the North American Championships in Buffalo, NY last year) You can read the full write up with specs here.
