Operator was a long time sailor. His inflatable PFD was not worn. Sailboat had required number of PFD's on board. With the variety of PFD's on the marketplace there is no excuse not to wear one anytime out on the water. Most boat accidents that have a fatal are usually unexpected and most not wearing their PFD. Just had a regatta fatality in NM.
Operator was a long time sailor.
