The Gulf of Maine Station of The Storm Trysail Club and the Boston Station of the Cruising Club of America cordially invite you to participate in the Northeast Harbor Race on Labor Day weekend.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, September 4th, 2009

10:00-1100: Sailors Complimentary Coffee, juice, doughnuts, danish and bagles @ TBA

1100: Skippers Meeting
1300: Warning Gun, First Class

ELIGIBILITY:
The Race is open to any yacht holding a valid PHRF-NE, IRC or NEMA rating certificate. Entrants in the IRC division with ratings of 1.080 and above, (approximately equivalent to PHRF 50 and below), must have endorsed certificates. A copy of the yacht’s rating certificate must accompany the entry.

CLASSES:
Classes will include both Racing and Cruising (non-Spinnaker) divisions. The official rating breaks and number of classes for each race is at the discretion of the Race Committee and will be announced at the Skippers Meeting. The Race Committee may also assign a yacht with a rating substantially different from those of other yachts in its desired class to a class more likely to assure competitive racing.

COURSES:
The starting line will be southeast of Clapboard Island in Casco Bay. Racing Divisions will sail out Hussey Sound to RW “P” southwest of Cape Elizabeth [43 31.6N, 70 05.5W].  Cruising Division will sail out Hussey Sound, leaving Outer Green Island to port.  The finish line will be in the vicinity of the entrance to Northeast Harbor.  Detailed course descriptions will be available in the sailing instructions posted online.  Course lengths will be approximately 120nm for Racing divisions and 100nm for Cruising divisions.
